The loofah (from the luffa gourd) is a natural plant fibre that has been used in bathing culture for centuries. On the skin it creates a mechanical exfoliating effect: it helps remove dead skin and leaves the skin feeling smooth. Being embedded in the soap removes the need for a separate loofah.

1. Wet the loofah side with warm water to soften it; a dry loofah can irritate the skin.
2. Apply to your skin in circular movements, without pressing hard.
3. Rinse with plenty of water.
4. Apply a moisturiser after drying.

How often: 1–2 times a week on the body. If you use it on the face, touch the loofah side very lightly or use the soap side only. After use, keep the bar dry in a soap dish that lets the water drain.

Can I use it every day?
Not the loofah side. Because of the mechanical exfoliating effect, 1–2 uses a week is recommended; rubbing more often can irritate the skin. You can use the soap side for everyday cleansing.

Can I use it on my face?
Facial skin is thinner than the body's. If you use the loofah side on the face, touch very lightly; on sensitive skin, use the soap side only.

Does the loofah wear out over time?
As the soap is used up the loofah is exposed and stays usable. Keeping the bar dry extends the life of both the soap and the loofah.

Is donkey milk really different?
Donkey milk is a component long used in traditional skin care for its vitamin and mineral content. This product is a cosmetic cleansing soap; it makes no medicinal claim.
