Keratin is the protein that forms the structure of the hair shaft; amino acids are that protein's building blocks. Having the two together in the formula aims to support the structure of hair damaged by heavy processing and to help it look stronger, more flexible and livelier. It contributes to the look of fullness in strands that have gone dull from colour and heat styling.

1. Wash your hair and towel off the moisture.
2. Open the ampoule carefully.
3. Distribute the contents evenly through the lengths and ends; with heavy damage you can also massage it into the scalp.
4. Comb it through and, according to the manufacturer's instructions, leave it on and rinse, or leave it in.

Suggested course: Ampoule treatments are generally used as 1–2 applications a week, as a programme over several weeks. An opened ampoule is not kept.

What is ampoule care like?

Split ends cannot be permanently mended; they need cutting. Keratin treatments improve the look of the ends and help reduce further breakage.

Yes, they complement each other. The shampoo is everyday care, the ampoule an intensive course step.

Can there be too much protein?
Some hair types can feel stiff with heavy protein use. If that happens, space out the course and balance it with a moisturising conditioner.
