Shade guide
- Cotton Candy — a pink tone. It works with cool undertones and gives a fresh, youthful look. It sits especially well on fair skin tones.
- Salmon — a salmon tone. It works with warm undertones and gives a natural, healthy-looking cheek. It sits in balance on olive and mid skin tones.
Where is blusher applied?
The classic point of application is on the cheekbones. The part of your cheek that rises when you smile is the natural starting point; from there it is blended out towards the temples. Carrying a very little blusher onto the bridge of the nose and the hairline is another favoured technique for a livelier look.
How to apply
- Pick up a small amount of product with a blusher brush.
- Tap the excess off the brush on the back of your hand or a tissue — starting with too much product is the most common mistake with blusher.
- Apply to the cheekbones and blend out towards the temples.
- Build up in layers for more intensity.

Which shade should I choose?
If your undertone is cool, Cotton Candy works better; if it is warm, Salmon. If the veins on your wrist look blue you probably have a cool undertone; if they look green, a warm one.
I applied too much — what should I do?
You can reduce the intensity by going over it with a clean sponge or some powder.
Before or after powder?
Powder blushers are applied after powder; this helps them spread more evenly.
Should it match my lipstick?
Choosing shades from the same temperature family pulls the make-up together: Cotton Candy pairs well with Berry Nude/Rose, Salmon with Caramel/Nude.
